(January 26, 2007): Activated the News Channel in a similar method to that of the Forecast Channel. Version 2.1 (January 10, 2007): Fixed a bug with RGB SCART output. (December 19, 2006): Activated the functionality of the Forecast Channel, as data had not been sent to it before this point. (November 30, 2006): Fixed a bug in the Wii Shop Channel that allowed it to be used as a web browser. The Wii Menu design was also changed, and channels could be rearranged on the menu. Version 2.0 (November 19, 2006): Added considerable functionality missing from original-launch Wiis, including SD card support, Parental Controls, and two other options (Country Settings and System Update). Such Wii System Updates may include new WiiConnect24 functionality, upgrades to preinstalled Wii Channels, new channels, support for downloadable channels, Wii Menu or Message Board design changes, repairing crashes, and blocking illegal loading devices such as the FreeLoader by Datel.
